Stephen G816382 Joined: January 1900 Posts: 3 Location: Odessa, TX	Posted: February 6, 2013 6:15 PM I have a rossi single shot rifle that i can`t open to load. It seems that when i push down on the opening lever the locking plate does not move far enough for it to open. Has anyone had this problem, or have any ideas what could be wrong. THANKS

Zeke Joined: August 2011 Posts: 2755 Location: JAMESPORT, NY	Posted: February 7, 2013 9:57 AM It is a fairly common problem..not only with this brand,but with the design in general..You might try to open it by doing a partial disassembly..like removing the forend and pulling the barrel a bit forward as you try to break the action(I assume we are discussing an unloaded firearm here!) If this simple act doesn't do it..then it should be returned to the manufacturer. Rossi warraties their product line for its lifetime.
