Hello,

I was taking my Model 15 22 apart to clean it up and when I unscrewed the takedoen screw the barrel and the sear came off like it should but the actual screw from the inside of the stock has some type of a metal spacer or bushing of some type that is not easilt held on to by any tool. I have been working at it for a while and still caanot figure out why the screw will not come out of there. Is there a trick to removing the screw from the stock. What is that part in the stock called ? Is there a trick in taking it apart ?

I will attempt to upliad three picture of the screw . Any help would be appreciated. I am tearing up the screw head trying to turn it.

THanks,

Dale

Take note that the takedown screw has two diameters..the large one is threaded while the shank is reduced for clearence thru the stock..to remove the screw from the stock..it is threaded thru the stock..it has to be unscrewed thru the stock...
