Is my Winchester 94 rifle a Pre-64 or Post-64?

The easiest way to determine if you have a Winchester 94 manufactured before or after 1964 is either by its serial number or the shape of its pivot hole.

• The Pre-64 models include a serial number below 2,700,000, and the Pre-64 finger levers include an oval shaped pivot hole.
• The Post-64 models begin at serial number 2,700,000 and go up from there, and the Post-64 finger levers will have an oblong (or egg shaped) pivot hole.
