I have a Bauer 25 cal and want to put wooden grips on it. Does anyone know where I could purchase the black plastic seperately that is glued to the current grips.  I don't think that there is anyway to get them off to glue them to a grip made of wood.

The Bauer 25 Auto is discribed as a stainless steel 25 auto w/2.5" bbl and a 6-shot magazine. It was available from the factory with either plastic or Walnut(wood) grips. It was made from 1972 to 1984 under the name of BAUER after 1984 it was made under the name of FRASER. Both companies went out of buisness. Word was that the baue was a SS copy of the Baby Colt Auto. try www.vintagegrips.com for replica grips  but these grips are really just a flat piece of wood and easily carved from a slb of wood of your choice. If I understand you, you wish to purchase "grip parts"..I know of no company that sells grip parts except for some of the hardware...you should be able to find a set of original factory walnut grips on one of the  auction sites  or Google Handgun Grips and you should come up with a lsit of aftermarket makers....

The Bauer 25 was a copy of the Browning Baby 25.
