Looking for Belgium made Mauser sights. Rear and front. Complete. What fits?
You need to measure the diameter of the shoulder where the rear sight sleeve fits to the 100th of an inch to get the correct sleeve. Most times these were sporterized the shoulder was sanded to remove the solder for blueing so even the correct sight won't fit tight. If the indexing hole where the front sight set screw fits is missing a correct front sight sleeve won't fit either. If the hole is still there you need to measure that diameter as well and get a front sight sleeve that will fit.I have been restoring these for 55 years and on extremely rare rifles (this is not one)the holes can be welded and the piece can be reblued to the correct finish. This is extremely expensive.
