Hello,

I just purchased an H&R 38 S&W CTGE 5-shot Victor (not a top break). Serial number is 48362. It needs a good cleaning, very minor surface rust (comes off by rubbing my finger over some of it), firing pin is good, action is tight.
I’d like to get more information on its history, as well as possible extra potential replacement parts, and an appropriate holster. (Yes, I have 38S&W ammo—I know I can’t use 38 spcl).

However, the Victor diagrams on the Gunparts website show a six-shot revolver (large frame snd small frame). Is there a more appropriate diagram I should be looking at?

Thank you.

The H&R Victor Large Frame is the correct parts list to order parts and the diagram is the only diagram or schematic available. Other information is limited. You could try a post on the "Visitor" section of the forum for more information.
