Your H&R 922 revolver is classified as a double-action, first model, large solid-frame, fifth variation. It was manufactured in 1946. These cylinders are pretty hard to find. If our host can't help you, please contact me at mailto:email@example.com. I might have one for you.

FURTHERING THE LEGACY, ONE PART AT A TIME
I am also looking for a replacement cylinder for my H&R Model 922 that belonged to my Grandfather. I am trying to repair so I can give this to my son when he geta older. Serial # M38012
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!
Hello I'm helping my father in law to locate a cylinder for his model 922. This gun has no serial number and he had purchased it when he got out of the service in 1951. Locating a cylinder has been difficult at best. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, Len
Serial number correction, it is E6561. My searching showes manufactured in 1944. Now, how do I know if this is an early model for the sake of locating a new cylinder?
Aslo, I might add, his original cylinder was a smooth OD with no cylinder notches, would this make it an early model?
My father in law just brought his 922 over so I can have a look. the cylinder does in fact have notches and the Mainspring is flat. Hope this helps. Thanks again
The serial # is located under the grips on the left side of the grip frame. The H&R 922 revolvers all had serial numbers assigned. If he bought it new in 1951, then it would probably be a 7th variation, and the serial # should have a letter prefix of "J" thru "M". I have cylinders for the 922 revolvers.
