I was wondering if anybody knew whether or not the SPRINGFIELD 1903 / 1903A3 .30 CAL. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE KIT is surplus or reproduction.

Also, if any wood furnishing for ARs is available. It is very hard to come by, especially the Lucid Manufacturing brand furnishing. I was told that this site used to sell it, or something similar.

Thanks in advance!

Item #1250190  consists of a combination of G.I. surplus and replacement accessories including the following: 6-piece cleaning rod set, bronze bore brush, nickel plated brass oiler, takedown tool, pull-through thong, front sight cover, two stripper clips and a rubberized OD pouch.

Wood furniture for AR's are not available. However, we might acquire it from our various daily buys. We suggest you visit the product page every 60-90 days.

There was never any cleaning rod issued with the 1903 0r 1903A3 rifles.A brass or plastic tube with a brush and thong were the only issued items with each rifle.

Thank you for the information! Do you happen to know which of those items are reproduction and which are original? I'm trying to get as many original parts to complete my 1903 kit, so I might need to just buy items separately.

The cleaning rod set and the bore brush are reproductions. The parts that are original are #525280, #525170, #517520, #413540, #409180, and #1153900.

Awesome, thank you. Last (I hope) question - do you know if the M10 Cleaning Rod & Pouch Set (https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/979930) is surplus or repro, and if it is mixed, which parts  are surplus/repro? Sorry to be such a pain.

For #979930, the pouch is original and the cleaning rod set is a reproduction. The cleaning rod set is the same set that is in #1250190.

The M10 kit did not exist until 1954 made  for the M1 Garand .They found that the thong pull throughs froze and broke during the Korean war so in 1954 they came out with the M10 kits.
