Canvas ammo bag NATO 5 pocket

Rafael673268 Joined: October 2010	Posted: July 10, 2024 03:55 PM Hello everyone. I'm looking for a canvas ammo bag and I can't seem to find any reference anywhere on the internet. It was a NATO ammo bag with 5 pockets and a strap. It could carry 5 M1A magazines side by side and had a button down flap. Numrich even offered a reproduction version but I can't find it anywhere. There was a taller version but for Thompson SMG mags. At this point I would be happy if someone could confirm its existence so I can tell myself I'm not crazy.... Thanks, Rafael

They are French Military issue. They are for the FM 24/29 light machine gun magazines. Do not confuse them with the readily available MAT 49 pouches. They are similar in concept but different size. The MAT 49 is a subgun and uses stick magazines.
