Can the Charles Daly 1911 45 ACP use any extractor designed for a series 70 slide or must it use part number 1066140A found on the Numrich web site? I bought item number 415-70 from Wilson Combat to replace the original extractor that was worn out. I understood some work would be required to fit and tune it properly. However there were significant differences in the dimensions between the original extractor and the 415-70. No amount of fitting and tuning could make it work properly in the Charles Daly.
