I have a Stevens 311 Series H that I need a new forend iron or forend iron head for. My first question is will either of the new assemblies (176550A) or (176550B) fit my reciever? I know that the shape of the 311 Series H receiver is different from the 311D and 311E but they are titled as "NEW STYLE". My second question is the forend iron head color case hardened on either of those assemblys or the forend iron head (176460A)?
Item #176550 will fit the Stevens 311 Series H. The forend iron and the forend iron head are both blued and not color case hardened. Item #176550A and #176550B are the same forend.

I recently acquired another 311 and it is missing the forend iron screw. My other the stevens 311’s have the same screw and all thread in and work in this one’s forend as well. The screws listed for a 311 on this site do not match the screws I have. I’ve seen on another site that the savage model 99 screw was used in stevens 311’s and 530’s and looks extremely similar. Here is the dimensions I came up with, my thread count may be off.
