The host of these forums list Item #574420 as: Remington 11/Savage 720 12 ga. Walnut Stock set. .."Fully finished replacement with low luster lacquer finish and buttplate" AND..FWIW..The Model 11 stocks..if GI issue usually have the flaming bomb or some other such ordanance marking...AND this shotgun is a Browning A-5 pattern that when the Nazi ran Browning out of the gun buisness in pre WWII days..turned the production over to Browning USA and Remington with the Model 11 and Savage with the Model 720. The GI Model 11 is discribed(from the Standard Catalog of Military Firearms) as: Model 11 Military Riot Gun This is a 12 gauge 20" barrel shotgun used in WWII. Most were blued, some were Parkerized when rebuilt. Military markings with stock cartouche. Many thousnads were sold to the military and are often encountered." values assigned:EXC=$1050...VG=$750...Good=$500...Fair=$400 and Poor=$ 150..and..again FWIW any replacement parts should be in the same general condition as the original s condition..in other words having an Excellent stock on a Fair gun is a mismatch and devalues the gun..AND...the retoration process can be easier if the rework matches original specs..including the proper GI color parkerizing..and...as far as I know..there are some original stocks available from www.sarcoinc.com The SCofMFA's makes no mention of branch of service specific issues or markings....
