Does anyone know if there is a difference in size of butt plates for 12 or 20 gauge versus 16 gauge? The web site lists 3.5" distance between screw hole centers. My 16 gauge 37 has the same distance between the screw holes.

If the product is factory new type......they are made oversized and then fit to the individual stocks....which tended to vary a bit.........the center to center hole dimension is the important one as it eliminates the  need to plug and redrill holes........Make sure you have a Model 37 and not a model 37A....they are NOT the same gun....You can find a tutorial on fitting recoil pads and buttplates at www.brownells.com
