I have a newly acquired Remington 550-1 made in May of 1966 and the Sear Spring Case screw (P#1770210) appears to be homemade- not working correctly.  There is not a lot of metal material for this short fine threaded screw with the mushroom looking tip to stay firmly in place. It appears my rifle either got a upsized thread from a more course 1/4"-20 TPI screw or something, I have a lot of play.  On top it has a flat screw driver groove formed by a Dremel tool. Looking for either a new or used Seat Spring Case screw or full dimensions of the screw so I can machine one. I realize that I might need to weld on a new Seat Spring case  plate for the correct sized original screw. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.... :)
