Forends

The forearm of a gun is the section of the stock located between the receiver and the muzzle. Its primary purpose is to provide a gripping surface for the shooter, helping to keep the gun steady during firing. The forearm is usually made out of heat-insulating materials such as wood or reinforced plastics.

In some cases, the forearm may also feature accessory mounting rails or other features to accommodate tactical accessories such as lights, lasers, or bipods.
