Canadian "Swift Rifle" Trainer Bolt

Unissued stripped bolt for the Canadian version of the British Swift training rifle manufactured at the Long Branch factory. Note: The Swift training rifle used no ammunition. It fired a needle projectile from the muzzle, which projected upon squeezing the trigger, piercing a paper target directly in front of the rifle. This was safe and less expensive way to train new recruits.
