Yes, if you will recall Eastern Europe prior to the end of the cold war, Yugoslavia was one large country. After the end fall of the Soviet Union, the former Yugoslavia broke up into several small individual countries, of which one was Bosnia. In 1948, Bosnia was a region inside Yugoslavia. There are basically two variations: M48 & M48A. The M48 has milled parts including the floorplate. The M48A has several (cheep) stamped parts including the floorplate. The M48's (and also the M24/47's) are an INTERMEDIATE action, using a large ring barrel & receiver, but has the bolt spacing of a small ring action. Bolt bodies, firing pins, and floorplates won't interchange with M98's, stocks won't directly interchange, but can be modified to work. Bolt shrouds, safties, cocking pieces, ejectors, followers, magazine springs, and triggers will interchange with the M98, as well as barrels. Front sights will interchange with K98's, but the rear sights won't.

I noticed your response in which you stated that M48 and M98 barrels are interchangeble. I have been told by Midway USA that their Adams & Bennet "type 2" barrels fit M48's which they call "Small Ring", and their "type 3" fit M98's, which they call "Large ring". Can you comment on this anomaly? Thanks, George.
