D-D, I'm not sure that is the name of the firearm. I believe that "Select-a-Choke" was the trade name used by Mossberg.Spelling: C-Lect Choke was a device similar in nature to a "Poly-Choke". Mossberg phased these out in 1977 in favor of the Accu-Choke system of interchangable internal choke tubes more commomly referred to as "Winchoke or Remchoke". Poly Choke is still in buisness as is the Tru-Glow version that interchanges with the internal chokes offered on most shotguns today. The older versions of adjustable chokes are NOT rated for steel/non-toxic shot, nor are they rated for slugs.

Thanks E-Z Shooter, I haven't kept up with them. I had a 20 ga way back when, I called it a poly choke and some one told me that was the wrong name, so much for that. I bought another one recently in 20 ga and am thinking about getting one in 12ga. I deer hunt eith a rifle and unless they phase out lead shot all together I don't hunt anything that requires steel shot. I just have a thing for bolt action type long guns. Thanks again.

What the heck, Dondon- it is a variable choke. If someone gives you guff because you did not call it by its brand name, do what I do- I call it a Dial-a-Duck.

At any rate I was wondering if they still made them. If the 12 ga don't get gone I'm going to get it.The had a good price on it for the shape it is in.

"Fully adjustable choke tube lets you switch from improved cylinder to full choke, with incremental clicks to hold settings. Lets you make quick field adjustments to achieve optimum constriction for tight, dense patterns that extend effective range or open the pattern for close-in birds. Rugged titanium construction keeps weight to a minimum; steel tube handles all types of shot. Do not use a setting tighter than modified with steel shot. Consistent temper and hardness for reliability and long life. The perfect choice for everything from turkey and geese to rabbits and pheasants."
"SPECS: Titanium sleeve and steel tube, blue, matte finish. 12 gauge only. Remchoke - fits Remington 870,1100 and 11-87, Charles Daly. Mossberg 3.5 - fits Mossberg 835 Ulti-mag. Winchoke- fits Winchester 1200,Ê1300 and 1400, Browning Invector, Mossberg 500 and 9200, Ithaca, H&R, New England Firearms. Beretta & Benelli - fits all Beretta & Benelli. Invector Plus - fits Browning Invector Plus, Winchester Super X2 and Supreme."

Thanks User, E-ZShooter was right, sorry for miss phrasing, but I was talking about the choke. If they stopped making those in 77 I guess it will be a few more years before they become collecters, I have a 20 ga. and am thinking about buying a 12 ga. I have a 12 ga, 500 with skrew in chokes. Thanks again ALL.

What your really asking Don-Don is: You saw a bolt action shotgun with a poly choke and want to know if there's any collectors value? Your not really looking for one?
