Correction, I found the 95, Same gun. Mark, Stevens marketed a number of good utility " working" guns. These were made to keep meat on the table and the town kids out of the Watermelon patch. If your gun was made since 1949 there may be a code on it . Look around the hinge pin and trigger guard. If you find a circle containing a number and letter = A for 1949 on up, O and Q not used. Note, if there are no serial numbers on your shotgun you at least know it was made before 1968. I don't know of any other way to date it. Sorry about that.

If you check earlier posts, and check Numrich Gun Parts schmatics, you will see the Stevens Model 95 (other than being a single Shot shotgun), has nothing in common with the late model Stevens model 94 series of single shots. The Model 95 was also sold as the the Sears 100.100. The pot metal painted receiver Model 95 ,I think this is the one to which you refer, was made in the late 70s and early 80s, . Do not confuse the gun with the 2 inch tang model made in the early 20s through the early 30s.

Ecuse me, the 95 was made in the early 60s simply as a really cheap offering for Sears and some with the inexpensive Springfield line and some with the Stevens name.
