BNP=Birmingham Nitro Proof 2.494"=length of cartidge case .30/06=cartidge 78203=??? last line is "Tons per sq inch (1 ton/sq/"=2240 pounds per sq inch. On the bottom of the receiver ring, bottom of the barrel, on the side of the receiver below the wood line, or on the underside of the upper tang. Also, on the barrel, top of ring, or elsewhere are there symbols such as a standing lion or a crown or arrow type symbol. If you can check and advise I may be able to help you out.
