Try SOG international. If you are not a dealer, you may have to have your FFL dealer check for you. They have some that have been demilled by welding the bolt faces and barrels. Not sure if they are the model you are needing however.

You can get both working and non-working " Drill" models of the 1903 and 1903A3 rifles from www.sarcoinc.com..and...FWIW..I think that restriction you speak of has to do with full-auto and semi-auto firearms. like the AK-47 and the SSK's I recall a "conflict" in Wisconsin a few years back involving a citizen that was formerly from an Asian country and his hunting on someone else property(a treestand0 that resulted in armed conflict and a death or two..spurring legislation to restrict the use of such firearms...but i am at least as old as you and sometimes the memory plays tricks...so why not just check with your state's version of a "fish and game" department...

Hi, tom. I dont know who told you that there is a law in Wisconsin that you cant purchase demilled military rifles but they LIED!! I am and have been a Wisc. resident and a collector of military rifles for going on 30+ yrs. Demilled or not there is no such law. As far as finding a rifle for your reinactments try Sarco inc. They often have them for sale.
